We had the joy of working with Megan last December on her incredibly beautiful wedding! We are always excited to see how our winter brides will style there weddings. They always end up being very unique and incredibly chic. This one is no exception! Megan started with a few key ideas for her theme, she said she wanted it to be” classic and wintry with a pop of gold.” A perfect place to start! Her personal bridal style was classic and vintage. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful black dresses that will never go out of style.
For her hair our bride wanted to also compliment her theme and her gorgeous dress by keeping her look classic and clean. She left the makeup inspiration entirely to Tamara..something we as makeup artists LOVE! Tamara airbrushed her foundation to keep it light and natural, Her lip was done in a subtle yet slightly pink MAC lipstick in Soar lipliner, and Pink Plaid and Angel Lipstick. The star of the show are those lashes! Tamara chose a medium length and full strip lash to really complete the look.
Having family in from out of town, keeping everyone close was extremely important to her. One of her favorite moments from the morning came when she got to see her Groom walking into St. Clement Church where the ceremony was being performed. The ladies all had the awesome experience of getting ready at a house the bride rented right across the street! This really made her morning feel cozy like being at home, especially for her out of town guests. We thought this was such a personal touch, and much more inviting then a hotel option.
To sum it up, our bride has this advice for brides to be:” Just sit back and enjoy it. I really loved the wedding planning process, but I had a good idea of what I wanted ahead of time. For me, it was picking a few theme items and letting everything revolve around that! ”
We couldn’t agree more!
